The B2B & B2B Marketing Writer & Strategist plays a key role in building key content for our brand and microsites.

Highly qualified local applicants are preferred. However, this is a remote / telecommute position, so you can work from any location you choose.

You’re a passionate and highly knowledgeable B2B Marketing writer and communicator, and are even more passionate where B2B marketing is going. Writing, crafting stories, researching data for content and developing and completing great B2B content is what you are all about. Crafting compelling headlines is commonplace for you. Delivering exceptional content, under pressure, is back-pocket.

Understanding, and communicating the complex nature of high ticket B2B and B2C marketing and sales, as well as marketing automation, is your mission.

We are seeking a B2B marketing copywriter / content strategist to help build educate, inspire and entertain audiences on behalf of our brands.

In this role, you’ll work with the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing to generate content across a plethora of verticals including B2B marketing, manufacturing, medical tech, manufacturing, law, real estate and professional services. This includes a wide range of content types (static website content, blog posts, eBooks, case studies, etc)

This role is diverse, but highly targeted to the B2B space. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of written content creation from conceptual development through to ongoing editorial governance.

You need to care about research, data, content curation and attracting and engaging audiences with your content.

You are a natural born grammar aficionado.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and develop a wide range of ongoing content for the Riverbed Marketing website as well as microsites
  • Work with the Inbound Marketing Manager to strategize long term content cadence to accelerate traffic and lead generation efforts
  • Repurpose content extensively, generating great return for each piece built
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external teams: creative, production and coordinators
  • Alongside our Inbound Marketing Manager, plan, maintain and update the content calendar and social media calendar
  • Analyze client website performance, usability, competitiveness, and marketing effectiveness and provide inbound marketing recommendations for clients
  • Study inbound marketing and Hubspot and marketing automation consistently, implementing learned skills and improvements to our content
  • Stay on top of HubSpot and marketing automation certification levels, and plan to meet those levels as needed.
  • Blog regularly (3 times per week) to the Riverbed Marketing blog.
  • Work with the IMM to build a wide range of eBooks, white papers, case studies, page content and guides for Riverbed Marketing

Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • 5+ years of writing experience in high ticket B2C and B2B markets (preferably within an agency environment)
  • Candidates should have a strong portfolio showcasing both short form (headlines) and long form (white papers, eBooks) writing across digital mediums
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary grammar usage
  • Ability to write for B2C and B2B in multiple voices and adapt writing style as necessary including the ability to write in a very conversational tone
  • Proven experience in writing to digital user experience best practices
  • Basic knowledge of typography and aesthetics
  • Understanding SEO and its application in writing. Strong analytical abilities and the ability to carefully manage details
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of personalities while juggling multiple projects
  • Ability to focus and work under pressure during tight deadlines with humor, tact and professionalism
  • Ability to accept detailed feedback and critique with grace and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external audiences at all levels
  • A degree in a related field such as Communications, Journalism or Technical Writing
  • Experience in infographic creation, video creation or image content are an asset

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
